Strolling through spectacular ornamental gardens and traversing miles of waterfront and woodland trails, visitors are delighted by the beautiful plantings, impressive stonework, waterfalls and fountains, and scenic views. It’s no wonder the Gardens have been hailed as one of Maine’s top three attractions. The Gardens are open 9-5 year-round, with a much-praised café and gift shop open seasonally. A visit at any time is a memorable experience. « less

We went when they first opened and came back last summer. Beautiful place. The Children's garden is one of the best I have ever visited - even without kids! More

This place is not to be missed, and give it plenty of time but there is so much to see and enjoy. Each year it just keeps getting better and better. More

First of all the plantings are amazing. There is even a sensory garden developed for people who may not have sight or hearing etc. You can spend as much time or a little time as you wish exploring the trails and touring the specific gardens. Even the childrens' garden is spectacular. This place is really world class. More

I am a docent at the Gardens, so I'm a little partial, but this is a must-see if you visit Maine. CMBG opened in 2007, but visitors are amazed at how much it has grown in a few years. There are formal plantings featuring both native plants and cultivars, as well as trails highlighting Maine's natural flora and geology. The... More

We went with three boys 7 an under and we all enjoyed it. There is a great children's section. I can't wait to go back this year when we are in Maine. There is a nice but a little pricey cafe. More
