Admission price only $4 but free for those over 62!! Lovely house with some of the furishing that actually belonged to the family. A bed that Audubon slept in Origional Audubon prints hanging on the walls. Tours of the house are on the hour and worth the price just to get the educational benifit let alone see how things looked... More

There is an interesting museum where you purchase your ticket. Following this you can tour the Oakley home and wander around the rest of the buildings. Audubon only spent 3 or 4 months here tutoring one of the Oakley children but I guess they had to name the park after someone. Anyway, it's a nice park and worth a visit.

This is my favorite place to go each December! Their Christmas in the Country candlelight tours are one the highlights of my year! While not one of the more ornate plantations, it's architecture is unique and their special events are wonderful! At Christmastime, candlelight tours, Christmas carols, hearth cooked food, costumed interpretors, period dancing!!! You don't want to miss it!!!

Had a group of 21 motorcycle riders take a trip to the area for the weekend. Had a fun filled day and loved the Audubon history.

Recently we had a kindergarten group here for a field trip and we had a great time. We had stations for the children to join in, like the kitchen cooking, playing with children's toys, etc. I have also been here and toured the home and walked around the park and had a picnic. We had a great time every time... More

I took out of state family with children. Be sure to watch the video in the visitor's center so they can understand who Audubon is and what he did. Nicely preserved buildings. Tour guide was friendly and entertaining.

5/26/12, excellent period re-enactments of a duel, militia training, and "state of the art" food, medical, pharmaceutical, and craft industries. Wife and in-laws took an interesting interior tour of the plantation home (I was watching the duel!).

This is an excellent plantation to visit to tour. The history is very interesting, and John Audubon once lived here, and created paintings while inspired by living in this area. I love going here for the Audubon Pilgrimage every March. In addition to the house tour, there are lots of other things to do, such as tour the outside kitchen,... More

We really enjoyed our time at the Audubon Historic Site and the adjacent home. Our guide went to great lengths to help us (from Australia) understand the story of the house and its inhabitants (including Audubon if only for a short time) and to give us a sense of the history of this particular area. So very different to other... More

This place is wonderful - beautiful trails and gardens to walk in, the friendlies staff and a fascinating history - especially of James Audubon's stay and his paintings. Our docent - Susan - was extremely well-informed and great at communicating - and it was a refreshing change from some places that she was more interested in the history, the people... More
