For anyone would like to know more or who love the Kentucky derby, this museum is a must. While waiting for the tour (around the outside of the track etc we were told by one of the guides that derby winner "Mine that bird" (won 2009) was available to see and we were taken out to see him. Excellent experience

The tour of the paddock was great and to learn about the history of the KY Derby was interesting. You can stand in the winner's circle and race simulcast horses.

I have never been to a horse race, or even watched the Derby on tv. For some reason, I thought this museum was so cool! It is one of the nicest museums I have ever been too. There is so much to see at this museum, you need to give it a couple of hours. Great stuff about the Kentucky Derby, horses, breeding. Excellent cafe.

This had no meaning for me. Looking at tapes of past KD's and jockey's silks didn't do it for me. If you love horse racing you should go. Otherwise, it's a meaningless exercise.

Loved the interactive museum and the short tour of Churchill Downs. We'll be watching the Preakness and routing for Orb!

We agree with the great majority of reviewers that The Kentucky Derby Museum is $14.00 well spent. There is a life sized figurine of Secretariat with Ron Turcotte aboard and the garland of roses draped around Big Red's neck with the tote board in the background. We had a special group table with an open bar, buffet and three private betting windows. If you can get in during the Derby then I would definately do it !!
