Bill is the very best tour guide you will ever come across. The home is also just super. I have toured mansions up and down the rivers and this is the best I have seen, I make sure all of my friends get there.

The Lanier Mansion is amazing!! Love Francis Costigans architecture so being in his greatest surviving masterpiece was cool. Also Mr. Lanier had an interesting story. I had a great tour guide

The tour of the house gave some nice history of the area and how important Madison and Mr. Lanier was to Indiana.

We toured the Lanier Mansion. The decor was very interesting & in very good shape. You could imagine how beautiful it was back in it's day. It still has a beautiful view & our tour guide was very knowledgable. Loved the windy staircase.

Nice tour. Lots to see and hear about. Felt like there was a curious 'spirit' behind us when walking up the staircase. Will go back.

The Lanier Mansion is a delightful place. We really enjoyed the tour and learned so much about the history of Madison on the visit. We highly recommend it!

I have b een going to the Lanier Mansion since I was eleven an just to sit on the lawn an watch the river go by. To bad the took the Paddle boats off, They plyed the river for two hundred years an now they are unsafe. mercy me

This would be a great place for civil war era History Buffs, but it doesn't appeal to a mass audience. Tours are nice, but what sales the place is it's events. Night time spooky tours during Halloween, Civil War re-enactments, and Lanier days all stick out.
