Unfortunately the Fort isn't open daily, but during their event weekends they really put on a show! We visited during the 200th anniversary of the siege of the Fort. Re-enactors, demonstrators, soldiers, townspeople, battles—it was truly incredible! Can't wait to catch some more events this year.

I love taking my 3 year old down here for all the different activities that they have going on. IT is never the same and it is free which is great too. My son loves going to the fort and playing soliders and see the way life was.

Great place for learning about our area's local history from the frontier era, and what life was like during the 19th c. for the pioneers. Educational and entertaining.

It was interesting to discover the history of the Fort when I moved to Fort Wayne 12 years ago. But after that, never went back.

If you care about our nations past and the sacrifices that our ancestors made you will like this place. It's not very big and the buildings were closed but you are allowed to go in and roam around at will. If you close your eyes you can almost feel the history that fort has endured. It was great. I've lived in fort wayne most of my life and never new it had so much to look at.

After living in Fort Wayne for 22 years it has always been a mystery to me why the city didn't support and celebrate more of its significant role in the early history of the area and the US. The neglect of Historic Fort Wayne is symbolic of this. It has such potential, but just doesn't get support.

The Fort definitely takes you back to the beginnings of Fort Wayne. Beautiful, scenic, on the banks of the river.
