We visited the pavilion on June 7th. There is free parking at the back of the building. In front of and inside the building are different tractors. Some of them are open to sit in. Try out the simulators. Unfortunately you get no explanation how the controls work. But you will find out very soon.

Collection of motorized agricultural tools heavily weighted with ultra-modern large automated energy intensive steel equipment. Rare glance into global numbers of population and production. Film strips to wake one out of tired old dreams of what it means to grow food and fibre. Crackerjack interested staff of personable pleasant folks. Great gift shop full of warm clerks. Computerized tractor. State... More

Until today. We've all seen farm machinery from a distance or in movies. It's not until you stand beside some of these vehicles that you understand how big, complex and important they are. Everyone's heard of John Deere farm machines, but they also make similar machines for construction and forestry. (Farm machines are green, construction are yellow.) And for some... More

Very educational exhibit hosted by the John Deere Corp. in downtown Moline. Implements, new and old, on display from production facilities around the world. This would be a very nice place to stop with your children. It has many interactive displays. You can simulate what is like to move dirt with a bulldozer or, load a truck with a back... More

This is a great family place to visit! There are many John Deere machines in the pavillion to climb on. You really get a feel for what these machines are capable of when you are allowed to get inside them and see how much goes into them. John Deere is more than just farm machinery too! They are all over... More

You want to see Big Tractors and Construction Equipment? Well this is the place. My favorite area is the GPS tractor demonstration. You may have to wait a few minutes to get your turn but boy it is fun. Don't miss seeing John deere machines and exhibits.

A huge building chock-full of an abundance of heavy equipment - both farming and construction. It's all in spanking new condition and looking great; and hardly a Keep Off sign anywhere--in fact there are stairs up to several cabs. The equipment is clearly identified and described, but there are docents available to answer questions too. Some of the oldest and... More

Not being farmers, we'd never seen this type of equipment up close. Wow, those tractors, threshers, earth movers have complicated control systems and elaborate cabs. We watched two young boys do a great job operating heavy equipment in the simulators - wife and I were darn dangerous in them. History of the Deere family and company was interesting and well...
