My friends and I spent a lot of time here on our long weekend visit. It was fun to see all the shops, architecture and people enjoying the city.

I like to take a walk here at night when people are gone for shopping, retail stores were closed. Quiet street with traffic sounds only. Walk around to see the street lights, its good to take a break after a long day.

If you want to shop, go to the Magnifecent Mile (Michigan Avenue)! They have every store imaginable especially high-end classy stores like Nordstrom and Bloomingdales.

I made up a self guided tour for myself, and it was very fun. Walk around Tribune Tower, go in Hotel Intercontinetal, shop at Water Tower Place, go in the John Hancock Observatory, also eat at Cheesecake Factory, then go to the Fourth Presbyterian Church, then the Water Tower and Pumping Station, go to Hershey's Chicago and finally one of... My group of "Adventure Girls", as we like to call ourselves, hopped on the Amtrac and headed for Chicago for 3 days and nights. The Magnificent Mile was clean, safe, well lit, and so pretty. Lots of places to eat, starbucks on every corner, and we spotted a CheeseCake Factory that we MUST try out on our next trip!

I always hang out here for at least one day when I'm in Chicago. It is very busy. Tons of people. Please keep your purse closed and in front of you and keep your cell phone out of site. There are pick pockets here. Otherwise I feel safe walking around here. There is a mix of high priced shops and... More

While downtown, Michigan Ave is a must visit. The stores are a bit pricey, but take the free route and just admire from the sidewalk (especially Christmas with the window dressings)
