I have visited numerous museums of this type across the US but this is by far the best. The exhibits are clean with lots of items that are interesting to everyone. The mission of the museum is to teach and preserve America’s history during times of war from the home front to the war front and aviation history from the advent of flight through the space age. The Warhawk Air Museum encourages an educational experience about the technology, culture, and social changes that have occurred in North America during times of war.

Great way to spend a Saturday afternoon and study history. I love to listen to some of the folks talk about their roles in the "good ole days" of aviation. Well worth the trip.

A must see if you have any interest in WWII history. Great plane and vehicle displays, plan to spend a couple of hours minimum. Do not be fooled by location or outside appearance, this is a first class museum.

This little war museum is a must see for all vets and everyone else too. I could spend hours there. Nice little cafe right behind it also

It doesn't look like much from the outside. Just a big hanger next to a municple airport. But, don't let the cover of this book fool you. The facilities are incredible! The displays are some of the best and the people are well informed and helpful. I have been here several times and I plan on returning again. Everyone should take time to visit and reflect on a great past time in our history.

A little hard to find but what a great afternoon. The folks in the gift shop are friendly and like to talk with travelers. The museum is 'self guided' but that's fine. Any of the knowledgeable staff can answer any questions you may have.

We went to the air museum to watch the old fighter planes take some lucky passengers who had won a ride with them. Our good friend, Terry (who has since lost his battle with cancer) had it on his bucket list to fly in a P51 Mustang. It was an epic day to witness this dream come true for him....
