Wonderful place to bring the whole family. Lots of fun at the Annual Mule Day in October every year, and very pretty at Christmas too. History abounds here.

Very pleasant experience, Host Roxanne was super!! Beautiful home and furnishings and Roxanne added so much more with her stories and historic info. Beautiful area, easy to find. A must if you are in the area.

While in Washington Georgia we were investigating my genealogy and saw a brochure for this place. I thought "yeah, cute, another house'...Well we left town in search of an old church where my 4th great grandparents are buried, and low and behold there it was. So I guess I was suppose to go here. There was no one there but... More

Callaway was a very pleasant surprise. Loved it! We had been there a number of times, but the house was never open. We were really interested to tour the house. We are looking forward to returning in October for the "Mule Day" festivities.

One thing we loved about this plantation house was our tour guide. At the time we visited, it was only the two of us. Roxanne, our tour guide was great. She was very imforamative and friendly. My husband and I asked lots of questions, and she just took it in stride. The other thing we liked about this place was... More

Mrs. Jackson was our tour guide and she was so wonderful, I forgot to take pictures because I was listening to her. She was full of information and was very patient with us. The plantation home itself is beautiful and the outlying buildings are interesting. I am very glad to live in this time though. I will have to go... More

Having seen some very disappointing plantations, this was more like it! Our guide was informative, amusing and delightful. Many buildings had been brought in, so you could see everything without walking too far. The tour was just the right length. If you have time, you definitely need to go, let your imagination run wild and you can see how life... More

The day we went, the town was having an annual fall festival with crafts, mule competition, entertainment, etc. Nice feel, friendly, and interesting
