I visit this museum often. I like it so much I joined. They have very good displays and interesting lectures. The only problem is they tend to have lots of technical problems during the lectures.

I visited the Marietta (GA ) Aviation Museum on 21 Mar 13.
This museum is located next to the Lockheed aircraft plant.

We visited this museum on a Saturday afternoon using a 2-for-1 Living Social deal voucher. The museum was very quiet and there were only two other people there. Unlike a lot of little towns that purport to have little history museums, Marietta actually had one that is far superior to the run of the mill local history museum. All exhibits are attractively displayed and presented in an interesting way. The 9 year old I was with absolutely loved wandering around the exhibits and reading about them. Definitely worth...

The museum presents a good overview of Atlanta's history, especially the Civil War era. Definitely worth the visit, if you are interested in Atlanta's days gone by.
They have nice exhibitions, and parking is easy. Great place to take kids for their first "art museum" experience.
The Marietta Museum of History isn't very big or well-known, but it is full of Southern charm and history. My grandfather loved perusing the military gallery (with TONS of guns) and I myself liked the 1940s kitchen! So cute! Not to mention the ADORABLE boy/girl scout exhibit! For such a low admission price ($5 for seniors and students, $7 for...

We visited the museum on June 26th. Parking in front of the museum is only allowed for 2 hours. Once you listen to the little histories of the guide you will lose track of time. So be prepared. They have something for everyone: houselife, military history, Andrew Raiders, Dresses of Civil War, ...
Watch out for General Sherman's Headquarters (sorry...

Originally a hotel called the Fletcher House, James Andrews and some of his men stayed at the hotel the night before their famous raid featured in The Great Locomotive Chase. It was also used as a hospital and morgue during the Civil...
