Very disappointed on my visit that the glass bottomed boat wasn't operating. Meant a lot of the park was inaccessible without a considerable hike on undeveloped trails, meaning there wasnt a lot to see compared to some of the other fantastic Florida State Parks. Really should be a notice before the pay station if the boat isn't operating, as for... More

Wakulla Springs State Park is stunning. We took the boat trip which I would highly recommend. Lots of wildlife, turtles, alligators, two manatees --one so close to the boat one could almost touch it. A number of species of birds with some nesting. The hotel is old but very pretty. We decided to eat lunch in their restaurant and it... More

Wakulla Springs State Park shows Florida in its natural state. The center point of the park is Wakulla Springs. Cool, clear water offer an inviting place to swim. A two story tower offer visitors an impeded view of the springs and the brave an opportunity to jump into the cool water. The nearby bathhouse provides a place for people to... More

Make sure you take the boat tour. Lots of wildlife (alligators, turtles and birds) and a very good narration of the history of the springs.

I love visiting this park, from the old fashioned swimming area with a diving platform and floating docks, to the boat trips down the river to view the unspoiled Florida landscape. I'd give it 5 stars but it could use a little sprucing up. ( Please. Legislators, let's allocate a little more money for this treasure.) Not to be missed.

We took the boat ride and it was incredible. Beautiful vistas of tropical vegetation and clear water, with bird calls and sightings of many flowers and reptiles. We saw a number of alligators, and it never got old. The boat is fairly stable, so even when it is drifting, it was possible to take some excellent pictures. The guide identified... More

We stopped here passing through for a day trip, we will most definitly come back for a whole vacation. We were able to swim in the spring and take a boat tour, which were both BEAUTIFUL! I can't wait to get back and explore some more. The antique lodging is so very pretty! The staff were all very courteous and... More

I love this place. I’ve visited I don’t know how many times and never get sick of it. It’s just a beautiful walk back into old Florida. And oh, the wildlife… I have just never consistently seen such diverse wildlife in one spot other than here. Not once have I taken the boat tour without seeing such beautiful and a... More

I suggested this for a family outing. even though it involved a 1.5 hour drive each way. To my relief ALL were happy! Outstanding bird and wildlife viewing -- next time we'd take the boat tour TWICE! We were ages 4-81. Many enjoyed jumping from the tower into the water, even though the air temperature was not encouraging. Alligators, manatees,... More

The first time I visited the springs I was a tourist. Now a Tallahassee resident, I look to Wakulla springs any time someone comes to visit it is my first "go to" place over any other local attraction. It is a most stunning place to spend a 1/2 day. Get on the early morning boat at 9:30 to tour the... More
