We walked the grounds for a little bit and it was beautiful. The big cross was an incredible site. It's free to walk around so it's a must see for anyone coming to visit.

The church has a cross. Its the second tallest cross in the World. Beautiful land space, great place to check out and visit.
I have been to St. Augustine a few times and never knew about this place. I was on the train tour and they stopped here for a photo moment of the cross. I was so mesmerized I had to go back in my car and take a stroll. Wow!
Lovely place for Weddings, picnics, or just plain SERENITY! Absolutely BEAUTIFUL to just go and visit, stroll through the pathways, and stop and smell the roses. Can be a very romantic place if you're with the right person! :)
This is a must when visiting St. Augustine. Rich in history and religion and a very peaceful and calm place to walk around. They have done a beautiful job preserving the grounds. Take the time to read the headstones and the stories about each of the locations.
We will definitely return to Mission of Nombre de Dios. My husband and I could not believe the spiritual calm we experienced. Rich in history and the Love of the Lord - a must to experience !
This location is a great place for a stroll! Rich in history and breathtaking views. Make sure you set aside a couple hours to soak it all in. The squirrels here are adorable as well.
Our family has been coming to the area for years and no matter the weather, or the crowds, this serene pocket of the area never dissappoints. While the streets and fort can be crowded, it never really seems to touch this area.
Crossing the little bridge and seeing the large statue is over powering to say the least. So peaceful and the little chapel so beautiful. Take time to sit on a bench and listen to the bells. Nice gift shop. Visit the cemetery interesting to see the old headstone and markers.
I was in St. Augustine the week before Easter. This place offers beauty and history even if your are not Catholic. Walk around the grounds for some quiet time for reflection. Keep the little ones at home.
