Jutting out into the gulf, this is something to visit while in Pensacola. Not a "must do', but it is OK, like many other piers that extend out into the GULF. For sunset seekers, it is the best location on the beach to view the sunset.

I wish I had more time to spend here. Everyone was so welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. Great fishing with accommodations right at the Pier. This is the PERFECT spot to catch a sunrise in the morning. Not the greatest for a sunset tho-
My two kids and I recently visited Pensacola Beach and really enjoyed the views from the pier. The local fisherman that were fishing that day were more than happy to show off their catches and were very friendly.
came here at night for the sun set and this is the place i asked the most wounderfull girl in the world to be my wife , ( and yes she said YES) i would come again
Walking this pier in the evening right at sunset is best. Many people were fishing which made for a very "authentic" feeling.
The Pensacola Beach Pier is a focal gathering spot for locals and tourists alike. Year 'round fishing, beautiful views along with 24 hour access make for great fun.
We like to go to the pier a little before Sunset. The water is so clear you can see all kinds of fish swimming below. We like to stop at the little restaurant that is at the beginning of the pier and grab some dinner to take out to the pier with us. We find a bench and enjoy dinner...

The Pensacola Beach Gulf Pier is and excellent place to take a stroll or go fishing....Strolling is better in late afternoon or night. Its open 24/7. A wristband is availible for this attraction..for $1.25 for strolling all day and there is another one for fishing. For great picture of the surise and sunsets visit their facebook page.
this is a cool place to walk, shoot photos, take the kids...wonderful views and great place for long walks....
I guess I expected more "there" there. It was a few nice shops and restaurants, but not a lot to do. There was a good wine and cheese bar that seemed interesting, but most of the restaurants were of the pub grub variety. Again, just ok.
