They are using "Pre-recorded music" now so there is no Orchestra. What a rip for 100$ a ticket. How sad is the day that a beautiful ballet co like the MCB uses tapes.

This is a classically trained ballet company that also excels in contemporary dance (not modern). I have seen them many times and have always enjoyed them. They perform the standards by Balanchine but also use up and coming choreographers who are well chosen for their intricate dances. Go see them

What a dazzling performance! I especially enjoyed seeing a world premiere of Liam Scarlett's "Euphotic" which was a perfect injection of freshness and the new mixed with classic rep (also done very freshly) such as "Don Quixote" and "Divertimento No 15."

If you like dance you will love Miami City Ballet! An outstanding company performing at the Arscht Center. In addition, they have 4 informal programs each year at the school. We have signed up for the upcoming 2012-13 season and can't wait for another year of fabulous dance.

Long time ago I went to a Miami Ballet and it was very amateur and kind of funny/sad. Now days they are serious group and I warmly recommend their program.
