West Martello Tower is an old fort that has been turned into a garden. This is a pretty oasis of flora and fauna right up against the Atlantic ocean. Enjoyed walking through the grounds viewing the local plants and landscaped gardens

There is NO charge to visit these gardens. They do accept donations. Very awesome, peaceful place to see. We spotted an iguana! Keep your eyes open. Definitely a nice place to visit. And, a good place to sit on a bench and rest those tired feet!

The Key West Garden Society is here, but the gardens are so so. Still it's a peaceful place out by Higgs Beach and the restaurant Salute is next door and it is really very good, open for lunch and dinner. Don't go for the gardens alone, the beach and the restaurant round out the visit.

The gardens are beautiful and peaceful. The fort is home to beautiful plants and trees. A nice place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of Duval Street. This attraction is FREE but the garden club does accept donations.

Go and see this place. exciting and you will learn a lot of history too. The history of key west is unbelievable!
