We did the morning sail/kayak/snorkel. It was great, john our captain was very knowledgable, and helpful. We had a mixed bag of experience on our boat, john understood that and made everyone comfortable. We all had a great time, with only six on the boat plus the captain, he could share his love and knowledge of the keys. I saw... More

This 1/2 day trip is only for 6 people at a time. It was ideal! Bethany, our captain, did a marvelous job on the kayak around a mangrove island. I understand the ecology of mangroves and we saw heaps of birds. With only 6 people (3 kayaks), she was able to keep the group together and we were all able... More

I did the morning sail/kayak/snorkel with George on April 6th with 5 others (from CT, NH and UT). We went into the Lakes region and it was both very enjoyable and very informative. I cannot say enough about how pleasant it is to tour in a small group like this. Everyone is interested and interesting. George makes you feel like... More

My wife and I took the 2.00pm tour on the catamaran and our captain was John. He was such a friendly and knowledgeable guy, he truly made our trip even more enjoyable . We went to the mangrove island called Mule Island and used the kayaks to explore around these amazing islands, we saw fish, birds and John even caught... More

We really enjoyed this adventure & highly recommend it to others. 5 of us ( us & our son-age 12 + another couple) sailed out on a catamaran at 9:00 am with & captain John. We were awed by sights (even saw some bald eagles in the mangrove islands) & learned a great deal about the Keys. It was so... More

Our B&B recommended the Java Cat Eco Tour and we're glad that they did. They only take up to 6 people at a time (we had 4). The captain, John, was a great guy... down to earth, talked to us a lot, taught us a lot along the way. We went to the Gulf side and used kayaks to explore... More

This sailing, kayaking, and snorkeling charter was recommended to us by the Conch House (our B&B) because we requested a small charter. The reviews were all positive. Our captain was John, a knowledgeable and seasoned captain. We took the afternoon charter and ended up with only one other couple from Sweden on our trip. The boat was large, clean and... More

My best friend and I just returned from a girls' trip to Key West and had the most amazing time on this sailing trip! We had planned on going to visit Dry Tortugas, but after speaking with a booking person, decided a more intimate trip might be a better option. I'm not a very adventurous person and I couldn't have... More

If you're looking for a fun and authentic experience, Java Cat Charters is the BEST! Our guide, John, was very knowledgable and got us acquainted with wildlife galore as we kayaked around a mangrove island. I learned a lot about birds and the sea animals. From there, he took us to a great snorkeling spot; where we saw coral, sponges,... More

We had a wonderful half day adventure on the Java Cat. The kayaking in the mangroves was an awesome experience, and our guide John was very funny and knowledgeable on the entire Keys ecosystem. The snorkeling was great too!
