Alvin Ailey performance at the college was fantastic. Phillips Center is a beautiful building and no matter where you sit, you can see.
Definitely walk the campus and enjoy the shady oaks in parks while viewing the buildings of many architectural styles. Most dorms and common buildings have been recently remodeled - a definite improvement from the past. The academic bar has been raised at UF and the student body reflects the change from past years. Diverse students seem focused while still having...

What kind of review would you expect from an alumni? I guess it'll be a biased one. Well, obviously I am proud of my school. If you're coming to Gainesville, chances are it's probably something related with the university so it comes without saying that you definitely need to visit. I recommend visiting on a weekend when it is quieter...

Awesome athletic department staff and facilities. Would recommend this camp to anyone interested in admission to this college.
Not much of a tourist hot spot but over the seven years in college I have enjoyed the carillon recitals, the museums, and football games. The student population is large which leads to overcrowding but also leads to lots of cultural events.
growing up in the West, living in a Mountain state and either attending or teaching in universities all my adult, U. of F. seemed a rather typical urban university. There were more people, buildings and cars than open, refreshing spaces with grass, trees and plants.
My husband & I walked the campus on a Saturday. Many students were out & about. We enjoyed seeing the campus & especially the athletic centers. Track, field, & baseball athletes were practicing. Fun to observe. Beautiful brick buildings, cool football stadium, & awesome blue tree walk. Old oaks also spectacular.
First time visit and I really loved the place. I was looking around like a kid in a candy shop. It was much larger than I expected.
Beautiful campus in the olde Florida style. My husband and our 2 daughters are alumni and I always enjoy the camaraderie the gators share. Amazing medical facilities that support the southeast. Lots to see on campus and the surrounds. Bat house is a must. Gator games in the swamp are the best!!
