Great beach, clean, fond, white sand and emerald-green water. The town is fun to walk through - takes one back to Old Florida times with beautiful cracker homes and beautiful gardens. Lots of cute shops - restaurants - homemade ice cream!!

I love Grayton Beach because it's privately owned and doesn't have all the hotels lining the beach! It's quiet, it's CLEAN, and it's BEAUTIFUL!
didn't stop just drove by. lovely area with neat residential areas with small older homes nicely decorated. Went to the national park area by there.
The thing that makes the Grayton beach different from the other beaches in fort walton is the added biodiversity in terms of ponds, dunes etc, in addition to the beautiful white sands. Grayton has one of the best beaches in SoWal and still has the character of the town that was there for generations before the building boom of the past 20 years. If laid back is your style then your gonna love Grayton.

Very nice beach away from the hustle and bustle of Destin/Fort Walton Beach and Panama City. Slightly out of the way but its worth the drive. I suggest driving Hwy 30 the entire length from US 98 near Sandestin to US 98 near Panama City, its a scenic drive along the coast.
This area has the same beautiful sands of the Destin and Sandestin area, but usually with a few less tourists crowding the beaches. It is increasingly a place for events (to the chagrin of the locals, I'm afraid). But so much more peaceful than the nearby Seaside-->Seagrove area. In addition to personal homes for rent, there is a state camp...

Less crowded than the ones west. It's clean although the mens room could use a good bleach. The campground as I remember it is carved into the woods. Better than the bluestone RV park they call a campground ! Ever tented on bluestone next to generator. The real Florida. . . .according to FL state Park system.
Grayton beach is like going back in time. There are cottages that haven't changed in probably close to one hundred years. It is a small beach community with a beautiful beach and just a few shops and eateries, but many places to go are close by in Destin and Seaside. You can walk everywhere in Grayton and the beach is...
