I had the opportunity to visit Al's Family Farms on a school field trip. The tour completely exceeded my expectations. The tour guides were great in giving us a mix of history and intriguing facts about the FL citrus industry. The tour included historic photos, antique citrus artifacts, and best of all juice & fruit samples! I highly recommend the... More

I am a 2nd grade teacher at F.K. Sweet Magnet School and I was incredibly impressed with EVERY aspect of this tour. The students were able to play in the OJ Corral before and after the tour. At the tour’s opening the tour guides conducted a presentation that included a trivia game and photographs of Indian River’s citrus and its... More

We visited the farm on April 25 and there were no more tours available, but we had a great time walking around anyway! We had my 21 month old daughter with us and she had a ball! There's a little garden/play area for children to play in, with orange races, a maze, photo opportunities and other fun stuff. The fruit... More

What a great tour! We had a group of 30 that drove about an hour for this tour, and it was definitely worth the drive. We learned a lot about the citrus process and fruit, and saw the wash line and packing line. We especially enjoyed the fruit and juice samples! I normally don't care much for oranges, but after... What a wonderful learning experience about some of Florida's culture! This is a great experience for all ages. I am so glad that I saw the advertisement in the Pineapple Post. I made the deadline for this year and plan to bring family and friends back next year to share the experience. I chose to have lunch also which was... More

We actually went to Fort Pierce specifically to visit Al's Family Farm. We took the 10:30 tour and paid the $6 extra for lunch. I can't say enough about the family friendly tour! Cheri and Chrissy did such a good job! They were very patient with my kids who had tons of questions and tried to include them wherever they... More

Tour guides do a great job of taking everybody through citrus processing - picking the fruit, sorting sizes, washing, polishing and packaging. You get samples of fruits & juices on tour and everybody gets a fruit to take home. We were 2 adults and we enjoyed the tour as much as the kids & families!

Thank you to Sherri and her team for the fun, educational trip! I had the privileged of working with Sheri organizing a home school field trip! I was provided an email with all the tools and information needed. Emails were answered in a timely fashion. The team at Al's family farms was great working with a wide range of ages... More

Great tour, wish we could have visited an orchard. There was also a misinterpretation with a coupon special.

Took the tour with my wife & our 10 year old son. It was a wonderful time & I would have enjoyed it by myself. Shari & Angie are fabulous hosteses and spokes people for Al's and the Indian River Fruit District. The tour is a wealth of information on Indian River Citrus and best of all you get to... More
