My husband and I have played this course 2 yrs running and just love it. We get to go out in a cart just the two of us and really enjoy the time together. I am just learning and it is open and wide so the balls I hit never get lost. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.

FBGC, like most places on Amelia Island, is pleasant, friendly and casual. By pleasant, I mean this is a visually-appealing course, with many trees--mostly spanish moss-strewn live oak, pine, and a smattering of palms--and few houses close enough to impose much on either your line-of-sight or line-of-play. Further, the ocean is two blocks away, so although it's not visible from... More

Good quick meal after a day on the course. Good value for the venue, service was good. We’ve eaten there several times after golf.

Each of the nines is different. The South course is the most narrow and challenging. Right now (winter) you will have some bare lies so play accordingly. Also, the greens are not in their best shape. Still, lots of fun and the best value on Amelia Island.

Charming, accessible and easy to get on, you'll mix with the locals at this public course mid-island. The course is nothing special, but it's a great way to get a golf fix without spending too much -- which is why we took our teenage sons there. You won't mistake it for a country club, there's no attitude, and it's well-operated... More

Beautiful course - 27 holes! The course is well kept. The staff is friendly and helpful. Carts are maintained. Pro shop is well stocked. You can't beat the rates.

Nice open fairways but nothing special. Wanted to play an ocean course but you must be a member or guest of those resorts/clubs. Still had a wonderful day with my hubby!

Have to say that I've played on a few cowfields in my time and this is another one. The experience on the course was neither great nor bad but the clubhouse, undergoing renovations, left something to be desired. Customarily we would stay behind for a drink or two but because of the reception, or lack of it, that we got... More

For about $40 you can hit em up and ride a cart. The course has three nines..the South is my favorite. It is a little rough but faun day and the staff is very helpful!
