Enjoyed the challenge, very good condition and a little on the expensive side. But definitely worth it once.
This course is a great test of golf - which I failed miserably. It was in fantastic condition, and the company was fantastic, but the trouble started when I got to the green. Nothing wrong with them at all - purely a case of operator error.... For those who think they have mastered the game, play a round at Old... More
This is a well kept public course. It is extremely challenging. Best to play smart. The staff are very friendly. The food is really good. It has a small dining area inside but most people choose to sit outside to eat. The pro shop is small but well stocked.
Yes, its pricey, Yes, it's tough, Yes, you are playing a Nicklaus design signature course. If you can afford paying, you should play it. You definately have to bring your A Game. If you play the yardage according to your handicap, you will enjoy the course much more. Great location just south of Regional Southwest Airport. I'll play it anytime,... More
Played this course on recent holiday to Cape Coral. Although slightly more expensive than some other courses in the area it was worth it. Course was in good condition and not over crowded. All members of staff encountered were polite and helpful. GPS on golf carts also very helpful. Would play here again.
It's nice to have a course without homes surrounding it. This is a beautiful golf course, but extremely expensive, even in the off-season. They have a nice clubhouse with some good food; I didn't find the menu had enough choices. But we went for the golf. My husband is a great golfer; me, not so much. But not having homes... More
Perfectly manicured. Fast greens. White sand. Wet water ; ). Helpful staff. All you have to do is enjoy. And hit it straight. Driver is not required. Only downfall is the clubhouse has an extremely limited selection of women's apparel. A big deal to my wife. They literally only had 4 shirts. And the course was loaded with women golfers.
The golf course and facilities are beautiful, but the course is so difficult for the average golfer it's hard to have a good time. It seems every fairway funnels your ball into trouble. I also really disliked the feature of putting a trap right where you would park the cart to walk onto the green - you have to walk... More
Outstanding golf course in a natural setting. Very challenging course, especially the greens. Best course I have played in the area. Unlike other Fl courses there are no homes around course its like being in a park. Excellent service and pace of play. Highly recomended. Bring your A game as it is a very difficult course but fun to play.
Old Corkscrew is close to the SW Florida airport on convenient to Fort Myers and Naples. Great Jack Nicklaus design but really difficult. Never played a course with a slope of 142 from only 6200yds. Trouble everywhere, lots of sand and diabolical greens. I real challenge. Recommend only playing the course if you have a handicap of 20 or less.... More
