Athens Theater has small town charm. Endearingly small, with good sight lines. It is comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful. A short walk away are many charming and affordable restaurants with sidewalk tables - great for dinner before the theater or a snack after the show.

Nice venue. The play was well presented.---good cast, acting and staging. I would definitely go again with friends. The area is great for before and after theater dining.

Restored old movie theatre brought back to its old glory. Offers movies and/or stage shows. Plenty of parking

I have lived in Volusia County for 26 years and visited the Athens for the first time last year. Since our first visit, we have been back several times. Shows are first rate and the theatre itself is a rare treat from days gone by. Beautiful. Staff is friendly and helpful.

South Pacific is playing right now, and it is an evening to remember. EXCELLENT performances; buy tickets now if you can! (Note: this legenndary cinema was remodeled a few years ago into a venue for live peformances. Seats are very comfortable and sight lines are great.)
