We stayed at the Aspen Ridge Resort and felt like the rich and famous. Views were spectacular and our unit #3 was very very nice. The only thing it could have used was an elevator as it was 4 stories high and the altitude really affected us.

The action is definitely happening in Mtn. Village. Nice shops, good/great restaurants, fun activities for kids, wonderful weekly concerts in the summer!
Love staying in Mtn Village, vs. Telluride - quiet, nice views, wonderful walks, and easy access to Telluride!
The location of the shops give this the 4 rating. Otherwise I would rate the Mountain Village area as being very average for North American Ski Resorts. Most shops had the typical last minute items you need before going out, but that is where it stops. We did find a jacket and pants for next season for one child and...

Take the free Telluride Gondola from downtown to the Mountain Village and you've not only traveled about 3 miles but more than 100 years in time. The charming town of Telluride maintains that original mining feel with a surprising twist - its Victorian. Yes, San Francisco style painted ladies are the main home style in town. But take a ride...

The food carts are awesome! We enjoyed crepes almost every day. The savory crepes hit the spot for a quick, inexpensive lunch. It is great to share a sweet crepe - the cinnamon and sugar is wonderful - so simple and yummy.
Everything you need!! Ultra convenient , many restaurants, grocery store, gondola, bars, ice-rink. And a fire-pit in a beautiful euro-style village!!
Beautiful!! and EZ to get where you want to be - people were friendly and helpful and how could you not have a good time what a gorgeous place!!
The Mountain Village is a great place to get up on to the mountain and had plenty of shops and places of eat. We were glad, however, that we had stayed in town as we loved the atmosphere down there and the gondola ride up into the village each day really set the scene for the day.
The Telluride Mountain Village is a sort of Dysneyfied location at 9,500 feet (2,900 meters) altitude, offering a welcome alternative to the Town of Telluride. Steps away from the gondola, self-sustaining, close by to the general parking and best of all, with a ski lift infrastructure way superior to the town. Luxury and comfort all around you.
