This was our second trip to Krabloonik having been there about 11 years ago for the first time. We brought our young daughter this time for the unique experience. Our musher was Curtis and he did a great job with the dogs and was very informative and personable. These are working dogs, not pets, and they are very adapted to... More

If you're reading this review, you're obviously thinking about doing this so stop reading, don't over think it, and just make your reservation! Yes, it's costly. But how often and where else do you have the opportunity to go dogsledding??? The mushers are great and work as hard as the dogs throughout the ride to ensure you have a great... More

We've been to Snowmass 4 times and this was our first experience with Krablooniks. Our family of 5 (kids aged 16, 13 and 5) loved it! A once in a lifetime experience - mainly because of the cost - that we will never forget. We did this as a 16th birthday present for my son. The musher offered to let... More

Like NCAlice I'm not really a winter-sports sort of person, and don't do sliding down mountains, but were in the area visiting family, and wanted to try things that were still fun and interesting (hence our trip up the Aspen gondola for really good dinner in the Sundeck and our sleigh ride to Pine Creek for an excellent lunch). But... More

We don't ski and had a business meeting in Aspen, so I was determined to do some type of "adventure". My husband and I chose Dog-Sledding! We drove to Krabloonik and had a wonderful ride with our musher, "Whiskey" and his dogs that he obviously loves very much. We did the 3:45 afternoon trip with dinner included. We were so... More

We were out hiking and stumbled across this restaurant for lunch. The overall dining experience was nice. The food was excellent, the staff was very nice and service was terrific. After lunch we were able to watch the sleds take off and speak with some of the mushers. We were allowed to walk around and pet the dogs... all very... More

The dog sledding was incredible and the food was great as well. The restaurant is cozy and the food is upscale hearty so expect big bold flavors. I was more than satisfied with the experience.

Gourmet meal is above average, but not gourmet. Dog-sledding is great fun. I feel a bit sad for the dogs having to pull the sled. They are clearly work, not pet, dogs. The dogs did seem to enjoy the running. Downside is price - $285 pp for lunch. More for dinner.

In booking the dog sledding I was advised the ticket price - approx $300 per head - included a gourmet lunch at their restaurant. I declined the lunch but was advised to take it as there was no adjustment to the price. Accordingly, turned up to what was promoted as a very fine dining experience. Actual experience was very poor... More
