We enjoyed the hike, but Box Canyon was closed so we couldn't drive in, but we could hike in. The part was closed to walk under the falls for construction. We want to go back and see everything.
I always check this out every time I come to Ouray. Never gets old. Take you camera but good luck trying to get a good one! It's just not possible to capture how cool it is.
It was a nice hike and the views that you could see where outstanding. You could see the canyon and the waterfalls. It was neat to see how the rocks/canyon were carved out by the water over time. It was very pretty with the snow and ice when we went in March.
Thankfully they replaced the wooden stairway with metal grating. Worth the walk and we had it to ourselves! Beautiful!
This is the best part of Ouray, in my opinion. It is very busy, though so get there early to enjoy the view. Great hiking. Views are breathtaking. Can be a tricky drive, but worth it.
It is an interesting hike, but dogs are not allowed (for good reason). The fee is a bit high for what it is ($4.00), and there are plenty of free hikes in the area.
We walked to the bottom and viewed the falls, after checking out the beginnings of the ice climbing walls (only just started to spray). It was impressive and worth the stairs
Box Canyon is unique ,very easy hike, with good viewing areas. There is an admission fee, if you haven't visited worth the $ to see
Pretty good value no breakfast but far better than Best Western. All and all it was a step up fro our other location next door
