The Garden is a beautiful place well cared for. Traffic noise and high rises dose take it down a bit. If your looking for something to do it is worth going, oh check the admission cost can get steep.

We went here on Mother's day weekend while visiting Denver. There was no admission fee because the gardens were having their annual plant sale. Early May (this year) wasn't a great time to visit, being the Spring blooms and plantings had not yet been done, but it was still lovely. I'd imagine anytime visiting after Memorial Weekend would be sublime.

Our visit to the Denver Botanical Gardens was nice. It was still quite chilly and many of the plants have yet to bloom and some have yet to even bud. Not really interested in plants but accompanied my wife through the Gardens and I have to admit the plantings and diplays held my interest.

To be fair to this facility, I think we visited too early. May is apparently the end of winter, rather than the beginning of spring in Denver. Plants were just beginning to bud. We listened to one of the orchid transplanting sessions - very interesting. We enjoyed walking around outside... even in the winter.

The location of this gem, hidden inside a neighborhood, adds to the sense that you've made a discovery here. It's tucked away in an urban neighborhood in such a way that it begs for exploration.
