I visited and went down in the mine in the mid-80's while stationed at Ft. Carson. They have continued to improve things significantly (I'm sure this had driven the price). Go down 1000 feet underground and see the old equipment in use and actually ride on a tram. Very cool!

A very interactive tour of an underground Gold Mine. The worst part was the ride down and up. You are packed in the the buckets like tuna in a can but this is the authentic way the miners went to work. And everybody will love the air tram. I can't say enough about this but this should be your second... More

My wife and I did the Gold Mine Tour in the middle of the week. The mine was not very busy, and the personnel were very nice and friendly. The tour itself is amazing. The mine is as close to an actual operating underground mine as they can possible make it. No hokey tourist props or distractions, just informative equipment... More

This is a really interesting tour because it's still an active gold mine. You can hear them blasting while you're underground. If you're claustrophobic, though, don't do it. They pack you into a tiny elevator, send you underground where it's tight quarters, and then it's back into the elevator in the order you went down. The blasts can be a... More

This is a working gold mine. The tour, 2000 feet below the surface, is simple a GREAT experience! The 9-man cable car drops you off in a great cavern and the guied tour lasts about 45 minutes. It is amazing to actually see the gold veins running though the various caverns throughout the mine! At the end of the tour,... More

I will be coming back to bring some friends through. This is extremely interesting and different. It gets a bit intense when you get jammed in the elevator but it doesn't last too long. It is so cool to learn the history and I believe that there can't be any other tours out there that even compare to this one.... More

We went here on a rainy day, not very many people here so we had our own private tour. It was a new experience being 1000 feet underground but it was awesome! I have always liked rocks and don't mind being underground. Very informative tour guides and lots of facts, also love my glod sample they let you pick out at... More
