On our trip around old country Sutters creak was one of our must do stops, we new very little about the area and as we are from the UK was unfamiliar with the lay of the land and what to see.

The staff was extremely friendly. The location is beautiful with great views of a pasture. We had a picnic outside the visitor center and heard cow bells the whole time.

The woman who greeted us was well-informed and gave us a good overview of the attractions and the best tip for a lunch spot.

The woman who was working in the visitor center was not knowledgeable about the local restaurants, stores, inns, etc, and frankly wasn't very helpful. When I stop in a visitor center, I really want someone who knows everything possible about the area and is very enthusiastic. She seemed rather clueless but we still had a great stay in Sutter Creek
