Several interesting & unusual exhibits during the year. Many non-traditional, very innovative, all beautiful.

We recently visited the museum to see their 35 year anniversary exhibit. This was a great exhibit of choice pieces of their substantial quilt collection. This museum is a gem. They have a great space, large enough to have many fine examples of quilts. They also exhibit ethnic and art clothing and things textile. The exhibits change and the quality is always there. The gift shop is very nice as well offering many items made by hand and some that aren't.

This small museum in an obscure part of 1st street has some great textiles for you to look over. The staff is pleasant and knowledgeable.

If you love textiles and quilts, you'll love this museum. We spent a good deal of time looking at each quilt, imagining the women who made them and the incredible skill it takes to make such beauties. The added bonus of clothing from various parts of the world was also wonderful. And don't forget the gift shop. It's exquisite.

Really neat and always lots of art in different medias produced by women. So often women use fabrics. Quilts are a long standing product made by women. Now that have been risen to the level of "art". Which is great. Take your daughters, wives, mothers, and girlfriends to this location. Enjoy!

I used to volunteer at the SJ Museum of Quilts and Textiles. The exhibits change periodically, and are always displayed appropriately. I spent several months volunteering there until a paid admin assistant could be found, and I felt it was well worth my time. Nice people, and great displays.

We had hoped for something a little more typical, but what we got was the merging of computers and fabrics. This was an exhibition that focused on cutting-edge design and techniques, but it just didn't work for us. It might work for you.

Quilt museum is a pretty rare gem! Culture dress, amazing quilts, mind boggling embroidery and needle craft.
