One of the best views of the ocean and sunset. The food is good. What turns me off is it's very crowded in the evening and everyone is sitting there and watching the sunset and don't care that other people are waiting. Gorgeous view of the beach and wave action! Two nice restaurants on the pier make it fun to eat there in the evening and lots of surfers to watch in the water. It's a great beach area with swings for the kids too!

This beach is such a treat. Being a SoCal native and a beach lover, I can't say enough about this place. You are whisked back to a simpler time, surrounded by European charm in the surrounding architecture and the simplicity of a pier and beach that are the real deal.

I remember when my Dad and Uncle would bring us out here and buy us fishing lines for 25 cents! Still lots of fishermen and a few nice places to eat. But it was heaven watching the surfers with my grandson. Soft sand, good surf, and nice weather! You have to pay to park, but bring a lunch and enjoy...

We live in San Clemente/Dana Point so we go to the pier quite often, as in almost every week. The Catalina sunsets are spectacular. Great for photography. Nice to walk on the pier, watch the pelicans, and surfers.

A cup of Starbucks and a morning stroll to the end of the pier ~ ahhhhhhh. What a perfect morning! A quick walk in the sand by the pier added to this perfect morning.

OMG ... I could live here. The place is charming. Life seems to revolve at a sedate pace. The beachlife was cruisy, nobody rushed and it was a balmy, warm weather pattern for the 3 days we stayed.
