Great to be able to walk around the gardens and get close without high security! The good ole days! The docents are very knowledgable and friendly. Love to take family and friends who visit CA when they come!

Visit on a sunny day - the large windows offer beautiful views and bring in such wonderful light to this historic treasure. First rate tour guides explain a lot and point out what you might otherwise not notice. One of the best Capital buildings we ever visited. We enjoyed the portraits and the architecture immensely.
If you get to see only 1 attraction in Sacramento, it is the California State Capitol. It is awesome to think that decisions concerning the entire state of California is made here. We also enjoyed the Rose gardens and other flower gardens here.

I did a self guided tour with help from the information desk. It is amazing inside & out. It is also free, and open to everyone.
Great place for a stroll with your loved ones. Especially romantic in the wintertime when they put a huge christmas tree at the front of the capitol.
Loved this place, there is so much art and history here, we were able to see the legislature in action making laws...awesome learning experience for the children

We were fortunate to have the attention of one of the volunteers, so practically got a private tour of those rooms. The grounds of the capital are so beautiful -- as lovely as many...

Interesting and informative tour given for the kids. Park around the building is wonderful. We ate lunch outside.
