It is great to have California's capital building in Sacramento. This is one main attraction everyone should check out. I haven't got a chance to go inside yet, but have been to the capitol park several times to relax.

How can we not be proud of our state's beautiful Capitol building? So much history here, and the renovation completed in the 1980s was first rate. Lovely grounds.

For the size of California. The capitol should be this amazing, extravagant, Texas or D.C. like building and it isn't. Not sure what they spend all that budget money on in California, but it is not this building.

This was a tour of the California State Capitol that was delightful! Our Sacramento family planned the tour for us. Take the free, one hour docent tour then spend some time on your own. Beautifully preserved, you can imagine what it must have been like to be there 100 years ago. I enjoyed the refresher history lesson. Don't leave without checking out all the portraits of previous governors and seeing both the house and senate chambers!

This is spectacular. One of the most beautiful buildings in the country. Other than a little problem to find a parking place, this is a site not to be missed. The docents are all very knowledgeable.
