A worthy stop for cat lovers. They probably have the biggest selection of cats that you can see in any one place anywhere. Lots of rarely seen in zoo cats like, Persian Leopards, North Chinese Leopards, Jaguarundi, Geoffrey's Cat, etc. Not elaborate exhibits, but all the cats appear happy and healthy.

This is a very interesting facility to visit. It is also called the Exotic Feline Breeding Center. They are doing great work by breeding the almost extinct animals. The problem is once you walk around there is not much else to do. There is not much in Rosamond. The site with a tour guide, who was excellent, only took about... More

The best part about this place is that you are able to get very close to the animals, much closer than at a zoo. An added bonus is that they have peacocks roaming freely on the property, so not only do you get to see exotic cats but you can get a close-up view of these beautiful birds as well!... More

Only $7 to view the 30 big cats (most endangered species) they have on display. Leopards, ocelots, jaguars, cougars, tigers, etc I think all but two were active and walking around. Plus you are super close to them. You won't be disappointed! What an amazing place to see these incredible creatures! The grounds are extremely well maintained in a park... More

I'll start by saying that this looked like a nice place to visit. Lots of cats, nice layout, prices not too bad ($7 adults, $5 kids), and we were there on a cool day. Also, we arrived about 2:30 pm, which was feeding time, so lots of cats were visible. Our first warning that it hadn't been a good choice... More

The Exotic Feline Breeding Compound in Rosemond is well worth a visit! Many cats on display, great gift shop, special activities - see their web page. Can't pet um, but can get real close for great photos! Babies in spring.

My daughter, my grandson (2 1/2) and I had a wonderful time at the Cat House. The facility was very clean and the employees were very information and friendly. I would recommend this to anyone! The cats looked well fed and beautiful. I couldn't get enough of them. We will be back!

First, it was some sort of grade-school outing day, so there were hordes of little shriekers running all over. Second, out of perhaps 30 enclosures, there were only maybe 3-4 where any cat was visible - most were inside sleeping I guess, or were hiding from the invasion of loud children. Can't really blame either the kids or the operation... More

The Cat House is an exotic cat breeding programme, trying to help the endangered large cats of the world. It is a little bit off the beaten track, but do take the time to find the compound. The directions on the webpage are spot on. The area is in the middle of nowhere. Yes, it can be very hot, so... More
