This pier is nothing like the piers we have in SoCal, at least not LB, SB, or HB. There are still mussels on the pilings, which are so tall. The pier is also very wide and it has a small gift store which reminded my husband & me of Pier Point Landing in LB years ago. It was so clean!... More

Great place to visit for few hours whether you are tourist or a local. If you want to get away, go during weekdays. If you like crowd, weekends are best time to go. There are many street vendors (every day during summer). Bring a jacket, even in summer. It gets cold as the Sun goes down.

You walk to the end of the pier and then walk back. If it's a nice day, the walk is lovely. if you have never walked on a pier I recommend it, but there is nothing special about Pismo Pier.

It's a fun place on a non-crowded day. When the weather is right, which can be hit and miss, you can't beat the scenery. You can fish without a license or just watch the fishermen and surfers or better yet the sunbathers on the beach. It's worth going to if you are in the area.

We visited the pier on Mothering Sunday so it was quite busy. Its a nice place for a stroll and to watch the sun go down. There is a selection of the usual souvenir shops and cafes

Didn't get to catch the sunset, but the view was still beautiful during the day and at night. You'll get a full view of the town Pismo beach and the ocean from the pier. Lots of people were fishing here and it seemed like a nice, little walk. It's also right by the downtown area where there are tons of... More

Liked the fair and the casual atmosphere. Would have liked to have walked my dog on the main pier, but appreciate that they have otherwise made the place dog friendly.

We didn't go on it because we had our dog with us. But a wonderful, old pier. Next time!!!! Love Pismo Beach.

Ate at the diner here on Pismo Pier beach but can't recall the name. The food was average - not too pricey. It was a nice hot day (Saturday before Easter) and many people were on the beach so it was a great place to people watch. They were digging for clams, flying kites, etc. Parking could be a problem... Had a great time fishing. Didn't catch nothing but was getting bites. The girl next to me was catching perch. Was on her 3rd catch of the day by 11. Tons of surfers and a daring young man who back flipped off the pier to meet his buddies surfing. Great places to eat nearby and easy beach access to play.
