We live close by, but a visit to this church is like a trip to Europe. Beautiful setting for a concert, wonderful restoration of the mosaics, redwood, stained glass and lighting. Always makes you feel grounded.

A beautiful building and grounds. If you're in the neighborhood, it's worth stopping and taking a few moments to admire.

I was fortunate to attend a couple different weddings at the Stanford Memorial Church. It's simply a truly beautiful place to spend any time in, even the kids seem to sense the serenity and change their usual behaviour in accordance.

Great place to visit. So much history and style. They have evenets every night, most are free for Stanford students and faculty.

It's on every picture of Stanford campus and is a gorgeous church with wonderful mosaic work on it. Lot of history too. The Rodin sculptures in the garden in front, the quad, all make great pictures and memories

I wandered around the Stanford campus while visiting my friend in Palo Alto. I love a good church and knew I had to step inside of this one. It was one of the most ornately decorated churches I've seen in the U.S. The mosaics were to die for, especially when the sunlight hit them and the gold seemed to light... More

Catch a music recital if you're in the area. Wonderful acoustics. Beautiful stained glass windows. The organ is out of this world.

The mosaic splendors of this church are amazing especially when you consider when it was built and the organ is huge and special. Do not miss an opportunity to take the docent tours if available to appreciate the workmanship of this memorial church....

Given all the modern Department and Graduate School structures erected since and the heights reached by Stanford, it is astonishing that it dates only from 1895 in memory of the oldest son of Governor and Mrs. Leland Stanford and this sandstone quadrangle is the original building. Memorial Church is the decorative crown to the secular functional classes and offices of... More

We attended mass on Sunday afternoon and then returned the next day so see stained glass during the day. Spectacular church steeped in history. Incredible organ, wood, and stained glass. A must see if you're in Palo Alto as is the campus in general.
