This is a very interesting zoo to visit with lots to see, the staff are all very friendly and informed to pass on their knowledge to you.

Visited on Wednesday 15th May 2013. Decided to visit first thing as the forecast was so hot but ended up staying for most of the day as we had such a great time.

Wonder place to see all the desert animals plus the kids will love it...special events are always fun for all.
We made the mistake of going when it was 108 degrees. So plan this trip when you can walk around and really enjoy the place. This place has so much education to offer. They have 2 deserts.

The zoo is dedicated to explaining desert flora and fauna in an easy to follow manner. Both adults and children have something see and learn. The wolf and cats are rescued and in spaces that look clean and natural.
It was fine... Everyone should do it once. It was 108 the day we went so probably not the best judge
Hiked out to hills - saw san andreas fault in the distance. There were lots of animals and exhibits, shows, including LARGE model train layout
Second visit after 25 yrs. Couldn't believe how much it's grown. An absolute must see. You can spend an entire day exploring and also have a nice lunch in their cafe.
Liked the nature,animals and enjoyed the show.Also liked that tram was available as i cannot walk a lot.
We happened to visit on a fairly cool day and it was wonderful. A vast array of desert plants and trees along with very nice natural looking areas for the animals. The HUGE mini railroad is very well done and depicts, among other things, the grand canyon and Rte 66. The animal hospital iwas very interesting. Well worth the admission...
