HB Central Park was originally plant as Park reaching until the ocean...well, other options became priority. Nevertheless the park is yet attractive, with his many quiet and peaceful places, its richness of different trees and plants, its little lake and variety of birds. The HB library is located there as well.

This large park is right in the middle of Huntington Beach and is bisected by Golden West which is a major street. On either side there is about 1 square mile of very nice improved parkland with a restaurants. The Huntington Beach Library (which is quite large) sits on its western corner. There are large ponds with plenty of bird... More

This park appears out of nowhere and you feel like you have escaped the cares of the city. Beautiful ponds filled with birds and ducks and geese galore. You can even spot owls asleep up in the trees. Great place to walk or picnic with friends.

This is one of my favorite places in HB. Around every turn of the paved walkway through the park there is something different to see. It never feels crowded because it's so vast. It has a fun fitness trail too.

A great place to get away from it all. Usually very quiet and serene, especially in the mornings. The lake is teeming with ducks, geese, cormorants, blue herons, egrets and oftentimes white pelicans. Wonderful place for birdwatchers and fishermen. There are vast area of grass for picnics and other special activities. There is also a frisbee golf course and a... More

Central Park doesn't look big from the street, but it's big once you're in it. There's actually two halves (divided by Goldenwest Street)-- the eastern half has the public library, bandstand (for summer concerts), exercise path, small children's play area and Park Bench Cafe, and the western half has Shipley Nature Center, the frisbee disc golf course, a large play... Beautiful park with lots of birds and other animals. Lots of benches, which is nice for older people that may need to stop and take a rest. I have only been once but will be going back soon : )

Most people think of Huntington Beach as a surfers' paradise, which it is, but there is so much more to HB than the beach. A visit to Central Park when we were house hunting sold us on this town. The park is huge, with acres of walkways, gardens, and ponds. The crowning gem in the park is the Central Library,... More

Camped with the boy scouts. Such a beautiful patch of green. Lovely big trees, large lawn areas. For the less adventurous a nice little place to get food is near by.
