I visited this beach in 2006 or so and still remember it. The ocean mist was refreshing. I didn't have any money with me for parking, so I parked far away and walked. I enjoyed the neighborhood and the beach very much.

You can walk miles along this beautiful sandy beach or walk along the cliff/bluff top walk which, at least in May, is covered with a profusion of flowers, from interesting succulents to beds of sea pinks. It's Just OK. Moss Landing around the corner from it has amazing tide pools to see first hand marine life living and thriving. Much more interesting.
While driving back to Bay Area saw this beautiful beach along half moon bay, so I grabbed the chance to stop and see the place, it was so beautiful and peaceful, you could see family walking along the beach. I find this place so relaxing!!!!

The downtown is located at 5 min driving distance. If you want to spend a quiet noon/evening watching the waves and the...

Had a nice lunch at a busy bar, took photos, looked over the huge fishing and sailing fleet there. Half Moon Bay amazingly, is shaped like a half-moon. Read locally about surfing legends, amazing surf and wave patterns, and the story of Maverick's and a dog in local history.
I like fog and if you do too this is a nice coastline. It is simple- nothing like SoCal. The town is just so-so. Most of the restaurants are over-priced and will underwhelm. Same for the shopping. And did I say that there is dogs are not allow on the State Beach? Go to the city beach if you took...

Wow...I found a little slice of paradise! Nice clean beach in a neat little town! Not far from Silicon Valley and easier commute to get to than Santa Cruz. The people were friendly and the area very scenic and peaceful.
