The Coronado Visitors Center is located right on the main drag, known as Orange Avenue. The doors are propped open, inviting visitors inside to grab maps and pamphlets offered for free. The attached store has lots of Coronado souvieners for sale too.

We found the staff quite helpful at the Visitor Centre. The exposition on the Kingston Trio was very nicely presented and brought back lots of memories of that era. The old photographs of the Hotel Del and the Tent City were also great.

Worth a drop in to see the exhibit on how the island and the Hotel Del got built. The Visitors center is also connected to an excellent local cafe, called "tent city" harkening back to when tourists used to be able to rent tents on the beach instead of staying in the Hotel Del. Big enough to give visitors a good overview, but small enough to have a personal touch, and not take all morning to see. Stop in!

They really have all the info you would need. Either go there or call and tell them when you are coming and your budget. They will really surprise you on what they can do... Ask and you will receive.

Friendly people will help you plan your stay on the enchanted island of Coronado. Attached to the Coronado Museum of History and Art, the Visitors Center provides information about restaurants, bike paths, tours and much more. There is also a great gift shop in the building.
