You get an overwhelming sense of history walking through the Mission and the grounds. Very cool to see. Well worth the price of admission.

This is one of the most prominent missions in California. They have a beautiful church, containing the body of the 18th century Spanish missionary Junipero Serra, and a nice little museum to go with it. You'll enjoy it if you want to know more about California's history.. If not then skip it and go hiking or to th beach.

I went to school here. Got married here. Love coming the last Sunday of every September for the Fiesta. So many great memories here, and I always enjoy bringing visitors to see this beautifully restored mission that has so much history. Gardens are beautiful!

It is a lovely, old mission. I love the history of the place, the feeling that you are truly walking in the footsteps of the Spanish missionary Fathers. It is well maintained and the flowers and gardens are lovely.

Came here only planning for a quick look but stayed for hours. The surrounding gardens are beautiful and it felt like we were somewhere in Tuscany! There was also a small food market in the courtyard. We only saw the gardens though but It is definitely worth it just for that.

One of only two basilicas on the West Coast, Carmel Mission exhudes history and significance. I'm not Catholic but I still find it moving every time I visit. I feel like I've been transported to Europe or Central America when I'm in its old hallways and sanctuary. Be sure and bring your school aged children- it will hellp make history...
