I visited Lava Vine in July 2012 during a bike ride around Calistoga wineries. The wine was delicious and well priced. The staff was passionate about making wine and sharing it with their visitors. You won't find their wine in stores, they don't export and sell out each season.

The staff at Lava Vine was great, knowledgable and made the visit memorable. John jumped on the guitar and played for us while we had a glass of wine. Well balanced wines that are ready for enjoyment.

I visited this small tasting room, conveniently located off of the Silverado Trail on the recommendation from another tasting room employee named Natalie. This is the way boutique wine should be made, in small quantities, and by people that really have a passion for making a quality product.

We really enjoyed our visit to Lava Vine (it ended up being one of our favorites). Went as a party of 16 and they were very accommodating. They may have been the smallest winery we went to, but definitely the friendliest and all the wine was great! Highly recommended.

Great tasting hosts with a sense of humor, an affable manner and a dedication to their offerings. Their Chardonnay was exceptional.
