It was fun to go see how a more commercial winery works. The tram ride to the top is fun and the views are very nice. We arrived around 3pm and got a special pricing deal on their silver tasting package ($35pp). When you get to the top you stop at a wine station for your first taste. Then you... More

This family-owned winery does not take itself seriously, although it takes it product very seriously indeed. Its champagne is outstanding. The title of this review comes from the old story about how to make a small fortune in the winery business - start with a large fortune. The grounds of Sterling include a beautiful grotto with lighting that is very... More

What a way to start our Napa Valley visit. The gondola ride gives such an incredible view of the entire valley. Tastings were spread out throughout the entire location so you got to enjoy a glass of wine with very different views, both inside and out. This is definitely a must see!

We chose this vineyard because of the gondola ride. My 3 children 12, 10, &7 I knew would be a challenge to make happy at a vineyard, but they loved it. But the adults loved it too! Magnificent views and the wine was delicious !!

Don't be afraid of the fee to take the tour. The self guided tour includes wine tastings with great views of the valley.

Today I adventured out to the different winery's. My first stop was the Sterling vineyards. Once inside the grounds and paying for admission you were taking up in a ski lift to begin the wine tour. I enjoyed the different wine tasting stations. The staff were very knowledgable of the many wines made on the grounds. The wines were fine... More

Great Place, Tram ride up a mountain for starters, nice views and all around great staff working here. Kind of a Disney/Epcot type feeling. Only vineyard out of a dozen or so that we went to that the tasting locations were spread around the property so you could get a tasting and walk and enjoy. We had a nice sunny... More

You ride a cable car to go to this winery. The people are so nice and you get to taste wines as you go to different areas of the winery. You tour on your own and at the end you get to taste more wine sitting down while having some cheese, choice meats and baguettes. Wonderful experience, a must destination!

Everything here is first class - from the cable lift up to the top, to the terrace view, and of course, the wines. This place is definitely well-planned. A money off coupon us available at The Visitor Information Center in Calistoga. This was our favorite winery in Napa valley.

This was a pretty typical wine tour, however, the ride up in the lift and the view from the top were a great additions. The wine tastings were nicely spread out and you got a nice sized sampling of each wine. It made for an enjoyable hour or two.
