Under a dubious, cloud-filled sky, Matt gathered our group of 11, holding us captive with his vast knowledge of the sky, stars, and planets, while the sky appeared. It's not just that he knows a lot; his delivery is fun and witty, and he knows how to make complicated facts and stories very accessible. My favorite was looking through his... More

I was a little skeptical about taking my wife on this tour because of the reviews about price. Both her & I thought the stars, clusters, galaxies and planets we saw were amazing and worth the cost. We saw Saturn as if in a picture. Nils (our guide) was informative and was able to answer all questions thrown his way.... More

Several years ago, our family bought a telescope but could never really make it work and continued to wonder why others were so into astronomy. Clearly, we should've met Cliff and his team of other enthusiasts. Our session was lead by Matt who was so patient and helpful. We had great views of Jupiter and its moons on the night... More

We did the star gazing tour in May 2012. Earlier that evening, we were notified that the tour was being pushed back to later that night (I think 9:30 instead of 8:30). We had no problem finding the school parking lot where we met our guides. We walked as a group in the dark out to the site where there... More

My 84 year old mother and I signed up for this tour and were glad we did. We were staying at Enchantment which was a 40 minute drive from their remote viewing spot so plan ahead. Our guide formerly worked with NASA and was extemely knowledgeable. We had great telescope views of Jupiter on our night. Even though it was... More

Our resort offered a star-gazing option, but you can plan and do your own. The night skies are spectacular - especially for easterners and other urbanites where light-pollution degrades the gazing.

We had great views from our Lodge-Sky Ranch Lodge-watch out for some light pollution on the buildings.

Our group of 13 signed up for a star-gazing tour. Our guide, Matt, clearly knew his stuff and kept the information interesting and accessible. He had a fantastic presentation style and I learned a lot. He explained some of the basics, some history of the constellations and the significance of stars and planets, the stories behind thier names and other... More

I could only imagine what a new moon looks like. We were there during the last quarter and we still saw a brillant sky. The low city lights and high altitude help. Wind keeps everything nice and clear.

It was a chilly evening about 20 minutes south of Sedona where we met our resident astronomer, Nils. We were led across a grass field to where he had set up chairs with blankets next to his telescope. It was an enjoyable evening of Astronomy 101. As a teacher he had a 'way with words' and soon everyone was standing... More
