It was a really beautiful lake. nice size for boating. It has hiking trails and pretty peaceful. It's out in the middle of Prescott so there's not a lot of people there.

Dramatic rock formations surround a serene lake. Great spot for biking (especially family with converted "rails to trails" path). Lot's of hiking paths for all abilities and lake a magnet for paddle craft.

We have been to Prescott at least a dozen times and had never been to Watson Lake to see the Granite Dells. Oh my goodness!! It was too early in April for the kayak rental place to be open, so we came here to hike, enjoy the beautiful views and Dells, the granite rock formations. We very much wanted to hike the trails and photograph the boulders. We were not disappointed. We got some great shots of the boulders reflecting off the water. There are many parking areas and a $2.00 State Park fee which is paid at a kiosk at the entrance to the park.

Hike, bike or ride your horse around Watson Lake .. the trails are almost endless. If you love balancing rock formations, this is the place for you. I frequent this lake whenever in the Prescott area. People are friendly and the whole area is clean and well kept. The hiking trail around the lake well well maintained.

This has to be one of my favorite places to hike so far in the Prescott area. Fantastic views of the Granite Dells, and both uphill hiking and flat walking trails. Very pretty.
