Since the circuit pretty much sticks along the edge of the lake, the trail/road stays fairly flat. There are lots of little side trails to stunning viewpoints over the various lakes.

My partner and I loved riding around the circuit. It's a fantastic way to spend the day in beautiful surroundings.
Top tip: take your time and occasionally leave the bikes behind and trek some of the paths off the main road.
Make sure you stop off at Gilbert's (local brewery) before you return the bikes. They serve an excellent stout...

Anyone can take this day trip and it is well worth it. Any hotel will have a map of the Circuito Chico, and it's actually very easy to follow, even for someone like me who relies on GPS devices and has a lot of trouble reading maps. 25 years ago this was a totally breathtaking excursion... Unfortunately it has now become like driving in a green tunnel.. Can´t see the forest for the trees..The vegetation on the lake side of the road has been allowed to grow becoming a dense view blocker... Bariloche needs to do something to restore the amazing views that were ever present while...
