About THE most beautifull sites are here. When the tide is out the rivers flow is reduced, the peat colours from the forest water blending with the salt water cause amazing effects. Your can walk, hire boats relax at the riverside cafe near the N2, anything is possible. All you need is good weather and there is plenty of that.... More

Short but relaxing and special. Always worth a stop over but don’t expect a long hike. Worth going if you don’t want a long hike but feel like some peace and quiet.

We went paddling from the Riverdeck at Goukamma and enjoyed the water as well as the very relaxed atmosphere and wonderful pizza at the restaurant. Highly recommended, it's a place to just wind down and enjoy the food and drinks in a very chilled-out atmosphere. Great!

The 1st Days hike takes you along the Ridge overlooking the Sea and then later the Lake, later you drop down into an extensive Milkwood forest. After spending the night in Mvubu bush camp on the lake you start the 2nd day hike along the beach. This stretch is about 12 km and is done during low tide. The fossil... More

Wow - I've been here twice and it was entirely different both times. Once, the statins in the water created a brown/orange swirl running out to sea, the like of which I've never seen. The other time the water was 'normal', but the meanders are marvellous for lying back and watching the world go by, and I've not seen more... More

This is set in a beautiful surrounding. You must try kayaking on the Goukamma river. Good fun!

We had a lovely walk here late afternoon, so beautiful with big breakers and miles of pristine beaches. Popular with fishermen but you can soon find your own piece of paradise!

Unspoilt quiet reserve around beautiful lagoon and by beaches. Did not stay here, but it has accommodation. Take the ferry route and visit the huge unspoilt beach - miles of white sands. We paid and used the main gate (not expensive and you contribute to the economy). One can park in a free car park down the road and walk... More
