Had lovely horseride, Lindsey is a lovely hostess and made our experience just perfect. We are both novices, so we just plodded along enjoying the company and views.

After plenty of backwards and forwards, time and date changes by my indecisive friends, I eventually managed to get to Black Horse Trails on the last day of my holiday.
Lindsay was incredibly accommodating and despite the threatening weather took us on a magical trail through the indigenous forests of Wilderness.
The trail was the perfect length, with plenty of...

This was my second time riding with Jack. My first trip was just as beautiful but this time I decided to come in summer. Amazing experience swimming in the mountain forest. Our guide, Paul, was very patient as some of us were not as experienced as others. They even gave us juice and snacks when we arrived at the weir....

Woops, this is not in fact the horse riding company I was thinking of, I cannot vouch for them, sorry
A few days ago, I had the honour of experiencing a three hour ride on my last day in the Wilderness. The trail is about 18km long and the absolute highlight for me was riding silently through the indigenous lush serene forest. A quick dip in the river at the waterfall pitstop and then back through the forests again. The...

Lindsey was professional and her horses were well-kept and trained. The stables were next to her personal farm, which is also worth visiting too. Her love for animals is very evident indeed.
Black Horse Trails was one of the few companies that checked for our weights beforehand to match us to a suitable horse. The trail was safe and enjoyable....

The horses...

We went on a ride recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. The horses are gorgeous and well behaved. The tack was in good condition and made me feel like a real trail rider :-) The staff are polite and very helpful. Had a lovely ride through the forest, wish we'd had time for the waterfall trip. I would recommend this ride...

Three very nervous novice riders thought it would be a good idea to go riding in Wilderness, it actually was! Paul, our guide, put us totally at ease and we were all paired up with horses and sent on our way! By the end we were all trotting along with our horses!
If you're in the area and looking to do some horseback riding, definitely do it here! Lyndsay and Stefon were very welcoming. It was my first time on a horse--Paul was a great instructor and I greatly appreciated his guidance. Our ride took us to what looked like a man-made waterfall--nothing spectacular, but the ride there was through very pleasant...
