I loved the stadium, the seating was good, facilities very clean. The sound was fantastic and security in the place was great. I felt comfortable and safe being there.

Awsome Engineering and Architecture! Bafana Bafana games and Soweto Derbys are the best. World class stadium!
Well done to the stadium designers. They have managed to make a stadium a multi purpose venue that caters to sports and social.
Excellent facility but they need to get their numbering right. Make sure you study exactly where your seat is before you arrive and walk around the outside of the stadium until you find an entrance near to your seat. Don't ask/rely on the security guards or hosts - they are all temporary employees and don't know any better than you...

Poor poor management overall, long queues for beer and merchandise. Drunk people passed out everywhere and security was rude and unhelpful.
Place was like a zoo - taxi had to drop you off 1 km away because of all the traffic blockades and no real way to arrange the return trip pick up. Seemingly only 1 way in and out. Staff at stadium overwhelmed and food vendors didnt have a clue about queuing or service. To get ticket entrance sorted once...

As a venue this stadium is great - Terrific sound quality with easy access to bathrooms and concession stands on most levels. However, events tend to be badly organized and traffic in and out of the venue is a nightmare. Expect to take about 2 hours just to leave the parking lot after a big event.
If you like to walk far, just to realise that every time you need the toilet, cool drink / water, food... you have to wait, very long...at the U2 concert (not sure of date), I was dying of thirst! Could not even find water to drink!! The queues went on and on, even blocking the exits.
This was the first football game I've ever attended and you'd expect the final of an African Cup of Nations to be organised a bit better after all the practice in 2010. Couldn't get a beer after standing in a surging queue for 40 minutes with rude people constantly pushing in front of you. Awful. Plus the football was worse...

So much more could be done with this incredible structure which hosted the opening and closing of the 2010 Football World Cup. It's a beautiful building from the outside and we often take our foreign visitors to drive by it. But no access. It would be such a great venue for a museum on South African sport/soccer - some attraction...
