Jerome is a really authentic old mining town. The Museum has pics and info about the real old days. Well worth the nominal price of admission.

I enjoyed seeing the movie about Jerome and learning about the changes that the town went through since the discovery of copper in the area. I was interested in seeing the old pictures of the miners, the old equipment, and the information about the town and the lifestyle there. I had read a book that had a little glimpse of...

Small museum, but gives a very good overview of pre-history to present. Truly a bargan at $2 ($1 for seniors). A very good starting poit for a first visit to Jerome.
Decided to visit based on reviews on Trip Advisor. Learned a lot that added immensely to our Jerome visit. Coming from Massachusetts we had no idea what life was like in a western mining town. The TV series "Deadwood" was our only reference.
Jerome is a town nestled on a hill with a rich history including ghosts. It is a beautiful day trip from Sedona and close to Tuzigoot National Monument. The museum is worth a visit with an interesting collection that explains the history of Jerome. Definitely worth a stop if you are interested in history.
great place to get out of the car and walk around a bit. There is some pretty neat stuff all over this place.
This museum is a must see for anyone going through the area. Jerome history is very interesting and the collection of articles is quite varied. Very cheap. Worth a lot more. $1. for seniors - $2 for everyone else.
What a neat little museum! It is very small but gives you a good idea of what the mining town was like in its heyday. And, you can't beat the admission fee. The gift shop actually had a nice variety of crafts representative of the area and reasonably priced. A must-see when in Jerome.
Without stopping by this museum, I would have never known that Jerome had once been a town of 15,000 people whose history pre-dates that of the state of Arizona. The exhibits in the museum are very nicely laid out and easy to read. The subject matter covers the history of the town (particularly mining). Be sure to catch the film.
I think most of the visitors zoom right by this turn without giving it a blink, which would be too bad. The history of Jerome and the mining community is a great piece of Arizona that should not be missed. Lots of artifacts from the era , as well as a great many photographs over the 100 plus years of...
