We did the glacier hike and loved it. I have two teenagers and they both loved the hike both to the glacier, on the glacier, and the ice cave! Our guides were great and I truly would not do this hike without a guide, even before getting on the glacier! We enjoyed our time greatly but would not recommend doing... More

We recently visited Mendenhall Glacier one week ago. The forecast was pretty strong for a cold rain so things weren't looking great for photo opportunities. But as we walked off Celebrity Millennium, Brad was there to meet us with a smile and welcoming handshake. He drove us and another couple to the trail head where their guide was waiting for... More

We were in Juneau via cruise ship and kayaked Mendenhall Lake on 5/20/2013, 4 hour (ish) tour booked through the Above and Beyond AK website. Our guide, Matt, picked us up on time and gave a great impromptu tour with sights & regional info while we were driving to the rental station to pick up our gear. We thought there... More

I created a TripAdvisor account just to write this review. We signed up for the glacier hike for May 27th. The weather was fabulous. Our guide Brad was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were under a time constraint and Brad made sure that we maintained a decent pace without makings us feel overwhelmed. We had plenty of time to take... More

We loved our kayak tour in Juneau. Dawn and Brittany were very skilled and knowledgable. While the scenery and wildlife were awesome, Dawn's narrative on the history of Juneau, coupled with both of their love of nature and the outdoors made this a highlight of our overall Alaska experience. Oh, and the fact that they were both a lot of... More

Hiking on the Mendenhall Glacier was a wonderful, special experience. The Glacier is sooo beautiful!! And to actually walk on it?! Wow!! What a privilege. This is a hike I will always treasure. Also, the hike leading up to the glacier was very beautiful too. Our kind and friendly guides, Dawn and Brad, pointed out many of the natural features... More

This was our first time to Alaska; we stopped in several cities and Juneau will be the most memorable thanks to Above and Beyond Alaska. They really do go above and beyond. We did the glacier trek and all I can say is that it was amazing!! Bjorn, our guide, was enjoyable and very knowledgeable. The ice cave may be... More

This by far was the best stop we had in Alaska. Don and Cassie were great guides and we highly recommend asking for them. Some highlights of our walk were the river-crossings, hanging on the glacier, once in a life time views and an almost one on one guide up Mendenhall. Don't forget to ask about the 1000+ year old... We went on the glacier hike on 5/12/13 and had an awesome time. Peter was a great guide, very knowledgeable and a really nice guy. We spent a lot of time on the glacier and the ice cave was phenomenal. We did a lot of stuff on our cruise to Alaska but this hike was the highlight of our trip... More

If there is one thing that you have the time to do in Juneau, hike the glacier. You won't forget it! It's been a couple of years since we did the hike in May 2011. But loved the experience. Above & Beyond Alaska were great! We just wanted to thank them again for a great hike! It was easily the... More
